Kunan Naik

Kunan Naik a qualified practicing lawyer at Gujarat High Court, has been brought up in a family having special love and affection for nature. He has been wandering in the forests since childhood which eventually led him to fall in love with birds. As a child and then as a youth watching the birds in the garden the love was nurtured gradually which made him adopt bird watching first as a hobby and then as a passion to follow. It has been a great learning in the journey of almost 10 years to understand the behavior of birds, their adaptation to their surroundings and their survival against adversities of nature and men. Kunan has travelled the Indian Subcontinent as well as African Countries in the quest for Birds. The avian wonders always amazes him whether it be a commonest bird found around or a rarity. Having been based in the State of Gujarat, India, it is a strategic advantage to monitor migration of several species of birds. Geographically Gujarat falls in the migrating route and also is a wintering ground for hundreds of migrating species. More than 400 different species are observed and recorded by Kunan which includes breeding and migrating speices.

The photographic tour for him started as a record keeping method for recording various plumages and behaviour of the birds. From September, 2009 Mital has been accompanying Kunan which eventually has given a new vision for capturing the images which gives little justification to the actual beauty of the Birds which they in fact possess. Thence further it has indeed been a more exciting and thrilling experience to click images which has worked as motivation to present the website WildArt.

Mital Patel

Mital Patel having been trained in Arts, has always been attracted to the store of nature which offers some of the most beautiful forms and opportunities that can be composed and treasured forever. After completing his studies in Fine Arts from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India Mital has chosen to associate himself with photography and works as a professional photographer specializing in interior photography for hospitality industry. It is during his journey as a photographer he has developed the keen sense of composing and presenting the subjects in the pictures, which depicts their intrinsic and basic natural expressions. Being unaware of the next turn of life, Mital had one day visited nearby Thol Bird Sanctuary in October, 2008 which has changed the man and his perspective. That one visit to Thol had then turned into regular encounters with BIRDS making it an endless journey to follow with some of the most beautiful companions of the nature as he says feathered glitters. A new man or as aptly put by him a new child was born within him craving to capture and portray the birds through his eyes and lens.

As soon after Mital started photographing the Birds, he has met Kunan which makes the WildArt team. Kunan being into bird watching a new process of understanding the birds started for Mital and at the same time a new role of a teacher had also been played by him while teaching his pal how to make a better image. This walk as a bird photographer and a birder has today given shape to our website allowing us to share our work and the joy experienced by us.

Esha Munshi

Esha Munshi, a qualified architect, found her ceaseless love for the birds during her sojourn at Thol. Esha having legacy of love for arts from her family has born and been brought up nurturing affection for the marvels of the natural world. The affection for the nature transcended to the perdured bond with the birds. During her oft-repeated visits to Thol, Esha’s union with the WildArt Team enabled her to understand the finer details of observations in birding and developed a keen sense of understanding the birds and their behavior. Esha’s ever-lasting enthusiasm always fills the team with energy to undertake new expeditions. Her inquisitiveness often brings to the notice new dimensions of bird-watching and photography.

Manjeet Jadeja

A self-taught photographer who tries to understand his equipment and its limitations and tries to optimize its performance. the most impatient of the lot when it comes to sitting in one place, but at the same time always thinking of new possibilities and perspectives. Trying to learn the intricacies if bird identification from Kunan who always insists on identifying the birds in the field.
